Passover 1946

I remember wearing the embroidered, felt yarmulka Grandpa Meyer gave me. It was one of the very few possessions he had brought all the way from Russia in 1905. I remember tasting my first wine at the seder and feeling tired and woozy and falling asleep under the table. Then listening to singing, chanting, thumping. I remember feeling it was all so familiar and foreign at the same time.
